Day  1        Arrival Yangon                             

Arrive at Yangon International Airport. Meet and assist at the airport and transfer to the Hotel. Free at leisure in the evening. Overnight at a Hotel in Yangon.

 

Day 2         Yangon - Bagan                                     

Breakfast at the Hotel. Transfer to airport for flight to Bagan. Arrive Bagan and check-in at the Hotel. Sightseeing around the great plains of Bagan includes the Anada temple of four huge standing Buddha images and numerous figures in niches around the galleried interior; the golden stupa of Shwezigone Pagoda built by King Anawrahta; the Thatbyinnyu known as ‘temple of omniscience’; and the Dhammayangyi, the most massive temple famous for its interlocking brickwork.Highlights of the day also include the famous  lacquerware  works  of  Bagan. Observe the sunset in the vicinity of one of Bagan's ancient monuments and experience the horse cart ride in the evening. Overnight at a Hotel in Bagan.

 

Day 3         Bagan

Enjoy the beautiful sunrise of Bagan with an early morning start. Return to the Hotel for breakfast. Visit the Tayokepyay temple and Min Nan Thu village to observe the village life and the traditional methods of extracting ground-nut oil; Phaya Thonezu and Nanda-pyin-nya Temples noted for exquisite murals of the 13th century; and the colourful Nyaung Oo Market with varieties of local produce. A short break in the afternoon and continue to Myinkaba area. Highlights include Gubyaukgyi Temple with its fine stucco work; Nanpaya Temple, built in the Mon style with intricate stone carvings; Manuha temple with gigantic Buddha images, a captive king's impression of life in prison. Enjoy sunset boat trip on the river Ayeyarwaddy for beautiful sunset over Bagan. Overnight at a Hotel in Bagan.

 

Day 4         Bagan - Mandalay - Amarapura

Breakfast at the Hotel. Transfer to airport for domestic flight to Mandalay. Arrive Mandalay and proceed for excursion to Amarapura. Visit famous Mahagandayon Monastery; the spectacular teak bridge of U Bein; and a local silk-weaving factory. Return to Mandalay. Half day sightseeing in Mandalay includes the  Kuthodaw  Pagoda with its 729 marble stone stabs of Buddhist scriptures; the  Mahamuni  Pagoda,  revered  as one  of  the  holiest  pagodas  in  Myanmar;  the Golden Palace (Shwe Kyaung) monastery, the beautiful teak monastery famous for its intricate wood carvings; and workshop of traditional  gold-leaf  making  and  embroidery  works. Visit Shwe Kyin Monastery at sunset and observe the evening prayers. Overnight at a Hotel in Mandalay.

 

Day 5         Mandalay - Mingun - Ava - Mandalay

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the jetty for a private boat trip on the Ayeyarwaddy River to Mingun. Visit the Mingun Bell, weighing 87 tons and being the world's largest intact bronze bell, the beautiful Hsinbyume Paya (also known as Myatheintan Pagoda) and the unfinished Mingun Pahtodawgyi (built with the intention of being the world's biggest pagoda). Sail back to Mandalay. Proceed by car to the former capital of Inwa (Ava), located on an island between the Ayeyarwady and the Myitnge Rivers. Take the local ferry to reach there and visit by horse cart to the Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery (also known as Ok Kyaung), the leaning Nanmyin Watch Tower, and the impressive wooden monastery of Bagaya Kyaung. Return to Mandalay in the late afternoon. Overnight at a Hotel in Mandalay.

 

Day 6         Mandalay - Heho - Kalaw

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport for domestic flight to Heho. Arrive Heho and proceed to Kalaw, the former British Hill Station (50 km – 1½ hours) for an interesting drive up into the hills and across the Shan Plateau. Check-in at the Hotel and visit the local market, the small train station and perhaps walking up the hill to see the old catholic church (if open). Optional: Take a walk through the hills of pine forest and continue walking to Myinmahti village of Danu tribes (3 1/2 hours). Explore their simple way of farming and cultivation of crops by Ox and Buffalo and observe the potatoes, mountain rice and huge vegetables plantation field. Myinmahti is also known for its 200-meter long natural lime cave. Return to the Hotel. Overnight at a Hotel in Kalaw.

 

Day 7         Kalaw - Inle

Breakfast at the Hotel. At leisure in the morning till transfer to Nyaung Shwe by car and proceed to Lake Inle by boat. Observe the floating gardens and Inn Thar style, unique one legged method of fishing along the way. Overnight at a Hotel in Lake Inle. 

 

Day 8         Inle

Breakfast at the Hotel. Explore one of the fifth day markets (on market day of every fifth day shifting in the area) where some ethnic tribes in the region gather to buy, sell or exchange their home grown produce. Highlights of excursion by boat on Inle Lake also includes Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the most sacred shrine in the southern Shan States; the weaving village of Impawkhon; blacksmith, cheroot making and other traditional handicrafts workshops at Nan Pan village; the famous "Nge Phe Chaung" monastery with beautiful collection of antique Buddha statues. Overnight at a Hotel in Lake Inle. 

 

Day 9         Inle - In-Dein - Inle

Breakfast at the Hotel. Set out for a fascinating boat ride to In-Dein village through the In-Dein creek. Explore the In-Dein Pagoda complex of hundreds of Shan style stupas dating back to the 16th century. Optional Recommendation: An hour's trekking to the Peacock Hill, the highest peak on the western range to enjoy its panoramic view. Return to hotel and at leisure in the evening. Overnight at a Hotel in Lake Inle.

 

Day 10       Inle - Heho - Thandwe - Ngapali Beach

An early breakfast at the Hotel. Transfer by boat to Nyaung Shwe and proceed by car to Heho Airport for domestic flight to Ngapali Beach. Upon arrival in Thandwe, transfer to the Hotel in Ngapali Beach. At leisure for the day. Overnight at a Hotel in Ngapali Beach.

 

Day 12       Ngapali Beach

Breakfast at the Hotel. Full day at leisure. Enjoy some beach activities offered by the Hotel, explore nearby villages on bicycle trips and excursion to attractive islands by boat trips as prefer. Overnight at the Hotel in Ngapali Beach.

 

Day 13       Ngapali Beach

Breakfast at hotel. Full day at leisure. Experience the adventure and watersports activities such as  fishing, windsurfing; kayaking, snorkeling in the Bay of Bengal and or golfing at local Golf Course nearby. Overnight at the Hotel in Ngapali Beach.

 

Day 14       Ngapali Beach - Thandwe - Yangon

Breakfast at the Hotel. Free at leisure till transfer to Thandwe Airport for domestic flight to Yangon in the afternoon. Arrive Yangon and check-in at the Hotel. Visit the Shwedagon  Pagoda  with  its  amazing  mix  of  pavilions,  stupas,  images  and  bells in the evening. Overnight at a Hotel in Yangon.

 

Day 15       Yangon

Breakfast at the Hotel. Explore the colonial architecture of downtown Yangon; the  Karaweik  Royal  Barge  on  the  peaceful  Royal  Lake;  the enormous reclining Buddha of Chaukhtatgyi; and the sprawling Bogyoke Aung San Market (SCOTT Market) with its abundance of stalls selling gems & jewellery, lacquareware, wood carvings, silverware, paintings & other handicraft for some last minute shopping. Transfer to Yangon International Airport for international departure.
